PCD cutters with straight profiles are used in a variety of milling, trimming, and grooving applications. Long lasting PCD edges are well suited for cutting engineered materials and panels with abrasive coverings. High shear angles or additional wings can be incorporated into the tool where delicate coatings are cut or where cutter wear is particularly high. PCD cutters are also useful in making accurate tenon or rabbet cuts as well as precise grooves. V-Groovers can be used for cuts in folding panels with PCD being an excellent choice when creating corners in solid surface materials.
